Litti is a snack food found in India’s Bihar state; it consists of wheat and sattu (powdered gram or lentil) formed into balls with spices, and then filled with ghee (clarified butter) via a hole. Spices used to flavour the litti include jawain, mangrail, garlic, red pepper, mustard oil, salt, and ginger. Tasty pickles can also be used to add spice flavour.
In western Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh litti is served with many more dishes than Chokha. So lets check out the options which you can try out anyday.
Chaap Litti: The dish chaap litti is exceptionally popular in north Bihar where litti is served with the chaap of mutton or chicken. It’s affordable disch which one can find on the streets of any market of the cities. 2 piece of meat with 2 litti is available just in Rs 50-60.
Chana Litti: Here litti is served with the mast sabji of Chana which is famous for its spicy taste. Believe it or not, in many places you find spiciness at its vertical which after eating brings tears of happiness in your eyes.
Meat Litti: The taste of litti is lovale when it is served with the read curry meat. Look how tempting it is looking, as if it is hard to avoid this even on thursdays
